- I can't believe due to inflation I didn't have enough money to get an Xbox.
- I know what I'm going to do! I'm going to ask my boss for a raise!

- Sure John what do you want to talk about?
- I would like a raise. Due to inflation, I am technically being paid less than I was last year.
- Okay that seems logical. I will give you a $1 per hour raise. Have a nice day!
