Storyboard Text

  • In the example A1.1, the picture shows a hammer pushing a nail through the wall. The force of the hammer pushes the nail into the wall as the nail applies force to the hammer thus making it stop
  • As it is famously quoted as For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction The 3rd law of motion justifies that in every action made, force is applied and at the base of interaction. An equal force is exerted to the opposite side of the interaction.
  • Forces are always in pairs, a force is not a force if it is not in a pair.
  • Newton's 3rd law of motionReaction-Action
  • The hammer applies force to the thus making it go deeper in the wall as the nail also exerts force making the hammer stop being in motion.
  • The gravitational pull is pulling me down to the earth's core as something called the Normal force keeps me from sinking. I have 0 net force because 1, I am not moving and 2, the same amount of force is being applied to the opposite directions.
  • Another example of reaction action is sitting down.
