- I will buy stock in you oil company if you can give me 60 barrels of oil a day.
- Hmmm. I think I can do better.
- Y'all should buy stock in my oil company!!!
- Maybe we should.
- John D. Rockefeller wanted to be the richest man alive. In order to do this, he wanted to have as much of the market as possible.
- John D. Rockefeller met with Cornelius Vanderbilt to discuss business matters.
- Rockefeller reduced the price of his oil so more people would buy from him. He knew this would drive other companies out of business.
- 418 billion dollars!!! Couldn't get better than that. Now what do I do with all that money...
- After Rockefeller gets these men to buy stock in his oil company, he still isn't satisfied. He wants to be on top. He runs other companies out of business and buys their companies.
- Now Rockefeller is rollin in the dough. He owns 90% of the oil companies.
- His company expanded. John D. Rockefeller created a monopoly and became the richest man alive. He was a Robber Baron.
