- Vitamins and minerals are considered essential nutrients—because acting in concert, they perform hundreds of roles in the body. They help shore up bones, heal wounds, and bolster your immune system. They also convert food into energy, and repair cellular damage.

- History of Farm to Table. The roots of the farm to fork trend stretch back to the 1960s and 70s when Americans became increasingly dissatisfied with processed foods that they found bland. One of the first farm to table restaurants that opened up was Chez Panisse in Berkeley, California in 1971.

Personally this school year i have really focused on mainly fruits and vegetables everyday. Like in the mornings i have an apple and after practice i have an apple. Having healthy meats is way more worth than not.

- There are five pieces of information that are required on all food labels with few exceptions like a statement of identity a net weight or contents statement the Nutrition Facts panel an ingredients statement and a statement that gives the name and place of business of the product's manufacturer, packer, or distributor.
