  • Gandhi was a born in a wealthy, Hindu family. He never faced discrimination in his early life.
  • Gandhi went to college in England and he realized the discrimination out there. It was the first time he had faced discrimination against him.
  • Gandhi first went to South Africa to solve the segregation and discrimination there.
  • Once Gandhi came back from his trips he realized the discrimination and heavy taxes there.
  • Gandhi protested against the heavy tax on salt. To protest he led the salt march, walking to the coast of India for 240 miles. Starting with 20 people and ended with 60,000 people. The British arrested 60,000 people with clubs against the peaceful protesters and turned the International opinion against the British.
  • I turned the international opinion against the British and made India Independent.
