- Gatsby was born, James Gatzs On a North Dakota fare attended college at St. Olaf in Minnesota but dropped out after 2 weeks

- Gatsby worked on Lake superior fishing. He saw a yacht owned by Dan Cody a wealthy mogul, and rowed out to him to warn him about a storm. Cody took Gatsby in and gave his name James Gatsby.
- Tom accuses Gatsby of being a bootlegger. Nick defends Gatsby and says that Gatsby is not just some bottlelegger
- Any time, Any time.
- Tom stops over at Gatsby's house with Mr. and mrs. Sloane. Gatsby's invites Tom and the Sloane's to stay for dinner, and they refuse.
- We would love to go, but we refuse.
- GATSBY is not happy because Daisy had a bad time. Gatsby wants things to be the same before he left Louisville. He wants Dasiy to leave Tom so that he can be with her.
- Would you guys like to stay for dinner?
- Tom and Daisy go to a party at Gatsby's house. Tom has no interest in going but, but hates Gatsby so much he wants to keep and eye on Dasiy.
- No, he's not, not Gatsby
- Gatsby is just some bottlegger or something
- He owns some drug stores a lot of drug stores\. He built them up himself.
- Daisy don't be with Tom be with me.
- But I loved Tom first.
