in this situation, a meteorite fell, hit this car, and ended up making a crater in the ground after it fell. there was a thin, glossy layer over the meteorite. this happens when a meteorite plows through the Earth's atmosphere. also, the rock was warm and took some of the cars black paint, which are clues that this came from space.
I feel bad for whoever's car this is.

Later at home...
You know, that really reminds me of Michelle and the Peekskill meteorite...
I've never told you? Lemme show you.
What's that?
She also tells her daughter some important information about it like thies: The mass was 12.57 kilograms. The speed was approximately 164 mph. The composition was nickel-iron and stony-iron. The path/trajectory was north/north-east. The majority of the meteorite and car are being kept at the Macovich collection of meteorites. She adds that the meteorite was headed right towards Earth, meaning with its speed, it easily broke through the Earth's atmosphere with the help of gravity and hit Michelle's car.
The Mom explains to her daughter that this article says on Friday, October 9, 1992, at 7:50 PM, Michelle Knapp, a high school senior in Peeksville, NY, heard a loud crash outside her home. Rushing out of her house, to investigate the noise, Michelle found that her car had been hitd by a football-sized rock.
Wait, but why did the meteorite end up on the ground?
Well, the meteorite came from a north/north-east angle which is why it landed where it did. Then, because it was slightly on the side, gravity brought it down into the road as we saw.
How could this work in a movie?
The Peekskill Meteorite could impact the plot in a movie. This specific event of a meteorite colliding into Michelle's car is pretty small. You could make this a detail in a movie. For example, you could have there be some setback in the plot of a movie because this meteorite hit someone's car. Or you could make characters research these things. On the other hand, you could make this a bigger event. You could make there be more meteorites of this size hit Earth. Depending on how many would hit Earth, the impact it would have would be different. If it was only a few meteorites, there would be a smaller impact on Earth. If there were 10's, 100's, 1,000's or more of them, there could be a huge impact. You could make houses and buildings be damaged, people injured from it, or many other options. A way you could do this is to make a short scene for each time you would like viewers to see a meteorite collide with something on Earth. In conclusion, there are many options to include the Peekskill Meteorite in a movie.
Thank you for listening and watching my presentation.
