  • White Horse Farm was built around 1770 also home of the abolitionist Elijah Pennypacker. He lived 1802 through 1888, though he was a politician he decided to quit and start the antislavery cause.
  • Joseph Bruin was a slave dealer in Alexandria,Virginia.Joseph Bruin used this place or house that he considered a slave jail.This house was for slaves waiting to be sold by other slave owners.Bruin purchased the house in 1844 but he'd been a slave dealer since 1840.
