Joseph Bruin was a slave dealer in Alexandria,Virginia.Joseph Bruin used this place or house that he considered a slave jail.This house was for slaves waiting to be sold by other slave owners.Bruin purchased the house in 1844 but he'd been a slave dealer since 1840.
