- Hi Pope Francis! we want to learn about the gifts of the church
- We want to learn specially about the service to the poor
- There are a lot of ways in how the church help the poor,I can explain you all of them!
- I can also help out with that question!!
- Every year, Catholics around the world donate millions and millions of dollars to the Vatican.
- A part of that money goes to the people that are in most need of help
- During the thanksgiving we have thanksgiving baskets and we collect food to support local families in need.
- The giving tree program is that all Catholic parishes collect gifts during the Christmas season to give to local families in need.
- We also do mission trips to places to places who need the most help
- The places where they go for The mission trips include Africa, Guatemala and other places that are in need
- In the U.S we have an organization called catholic charities
- The mission is to provide service to people in need, to advocate for justice in social structures and to call the entire church and other people to do the same
