- So, what happened?
- Did you meet her?
- Nothing much, we did what people usually do during funerals.
- Liza is a girl who deals with the issue of her father who had extramarital affair with Sylvia, and consequently had son, Lem.
- Are you Liza?
- I'm Sylvia
- Yes.
- One day, while cooking sinigang, Liza and her tita Loleng were taking about the wake of her steph-brother Lem. Tita Loleng asked Liza whether she met her stephbrother on the funeral.
- Everyone makes mistakes, LIza.
- At the funeral...Since her tita Loleng asked about her stepmother, the funeral of Liza's stepbrother flashed to her mind.
- Would he be the same if I was the one who died?.
- Liza was formally introduced to her stepmother, Sylvia. Liza's impression of Sylvia is that she looked like she had Indian blood with her sharp nose and deep set eyes. Just like her mother, she still maintained a slim figure though she already had children
- After being introduced, Liza tried hard to outwardly remain calm but Sylvia was not able to suppress her emotions and her tears just flowed to her eyes. She grabbed Liza's hand, knelt and begged for forgiveness.
- While Liza was helping Tita Loleng to prepare sinigang, she remembered some memories including her mother cooking sinigang. She also remembered her father crying while Lem's casket being lowered. At that time she asked herself, what if she was the one who died?
