Storyboard Text

  • When LADY CAPULET and the NURSE exit, Juliet feels as if she will never see them again
  • -Door Closes-
  • "Farewell! God knows when we shall meet again."
  • This is a hyperbole since fear cannot actually freeze the heat of life. It means that Juliet believes that what she fears may lead to her death
  • "I have a faint cold fear that thrills through my veins. That almost freezes up the heat of life.”
  • Juliet is afraid that the potion won’t do what it is meant to do meaning that in the morning she will be forced to marry Paris
  • "What if the mixture do not work at all? Shall I be married then tomorrow morning?”
  • Juliet fears that the poison Friar gave to her may kill her instead of doing what it is supposed to do
  •  “What if be a poison which the Friar subtly hath ministered to have me dead.”
  • Juliet considers harming herself in order to save herself from the predicament that has been cast upon her
  • "No, no! This shall forbid it. Lie thou there.”
  • -CLUNK-
  • Juliet debates whether she should drink the poison or not, as she does not know if Friar has ill intent or if the poison is faulty
  • “How if, when I am laid into the tomb, I wake before the time that Romeo come to redeem me? There’s a fearful point!”
