- There was word about a hurricane but nobody ever paid any care to it
- My father had told me to go seek a job outside of Galveston because he had always longed for a job away from Galveston but couldn't due to how sick he was.
- So I left the next day prior seeking for work.
- Haven't you heard? Galveston has been deeply affected by the hurricane!
- When word soon got around that my homeland Galveston had been affected by the hurricane, I quickly made plans and left work to check on my family
