At the dinner table Lizabeth's Father was mad because he couldn't financiallysupport his family and he began to go sad. This was where Lizabeth got sad about how her mother was there to comfort him and she was never there for her.
resolution
At 4 in the morning Lizabeth went with joey in which she couldn't hold in her rage of being in poverty anymore. She began to let herself go and start to rip up Mrs.Lottie's plants.
Mrs. Lottie had found her in her garden that was too late to be fixed. This was where she began to regret it all and change from being a child to woman.
Lizabeth brings the readers to her current life in which she shows that she too plants marigolds because of this incident.
