- Hi I'm Martha Christina TiahahuI was born on Abubu Village near Maluku.
- In January 4 1800 Martha Christiana Tiahahu was born on Abubu Village near Maluku.
- When she joined the military
- Since my Father is a military captain I joined the army at 17 years old.
- Because her father was a military captain, Tiahahu was activein military matters from a young age. She joined the war led by Pattimura against the Dutch when she was 17 years old.
- During the war

- We did it! We burned Duurstede fortress to the ground!
- Beginning in 1817, Tiahahu joined her father, CaptainPaulus Tiahahu in a guerrilla* war against the Dutch. Theyalso backed Pattimura's army. She and her troops succeededin burning Duurstede Fortress to the ground.

- Tiahahu, her father, and Pattimura were captured in October 1817. But Martha was the only soldierwho did not get punished; due to her young age. Shewas young and brave. She continued to fight, andwas captured again and taken to Java

- During the journey to Java Martha was very ill but she refused to take any medicine. Her health became worse and she died on January 2 1818. The Maluku government made a monument to commemorate* thestruggles of Martha Christina Tiahahu.
- Lesson learned: I learned that Martha was brave when she fought for Indonesia.
