Storyboard Text

  • Introduction:  Mare Barrow  (Chapter 1 Red Queen)
  • Hey! I'm Mare Barrow. In my world people are divided into two groups: Silvers and Reds.  I'm a Red.  Reds don't get the best treatment around here.
  • This is my family. I have three other brothers but they got shipped off to war. I'm also going to war once I turn eighteen.
  • As you can see, Silvers live a much more luxurious life.
  • Gisa: my sister
  • This is my dad.
  • And this is my mom.
  • On the first Friday of every month, a tournament takes place between two Silver. They use their special abilities to fight each other and showcase their power so we Reds remember not to outstep our boundaries.
  • First Friday:  The Tournament of Silvers  (Chapter 1 Red Queen)
  • Whatever. Let's get this over with.
  • That guy next to me?  That is Kilorn, my best friend.
  • Are you ready?
  • A Futile Resistance:  The Price of Safety  (Chapters 2-3 Red Queen)
  • Fine... deal.
  • Fine, we can transport your cargo... for two thousand crowns.
  • By tomorrow. Deal?
  • Kilorn's master died and now he can't find a job.  He's scheduled for conscription.  I have to get the money for him!
  • This is Farley.  She is the one who said she can sneak Kilorn and me to a safe place.
  • I asked Gisa to help get the money for Farley so she took me to the capital.  Gisa got desperate because of her little "crush" on Kilorn.  She attempted to steal from a Silver but got caught. Now her sewing hand is broken and she can't work anymore to support our family.
  • The Capital:  Gisa's Sacrifice  (Chapter 4 Red Queen)
  • You THEIF!
  • NO!  GISA!!
  • Cal:  The Stranger by the Bar  (Chapter 5 Red Queen)
  • Well... I ended up venting to a stranger about my problems.
  • A Silver Tetrach!?
  • The Bar Get your beer here for only two silver coins! Limited time offer: Buy one, get one free!
  • Blackout:  The Spark of Fate  (Chapter 5 Red Queen)
  • Ok, let me see.
  • That's odd. I can't seem to get the lights to work.
  • I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble.
  • Here take this.
  • I'm Cal by the way.
  • I don't know. I just touched it.
  • How did you fix it?
