Storyboard Text

  • Interviewers and reporters have been going all the way to Gatsby's house, wanting to talk to him about his true past. Rumors have been spread and many people have been desperate to find out the truth.
  • This is Gatsby's true past. His real name is James Gats and has changed it to Jay Gatsby, he has never inherited wealth from family. Gatsby actually grew up really poor and hating his family, causing him to eventually leave his miserably poor life for a newer and better one. 
  • We're too poor... 
  • Gatsby has previously warned Dan Cody about a horrible storm coming their way, yet he still decided to take his yacht out to sea. The young Gatsby eventually went out on his smaller boat to save Mr.Cody. This is how Gatsby succession to wealth and fame began thanks to this man.
  • Help Me Old Sport!
  • After Gatsby invites the Buchanans and Nick to one of his parties, Gatsby informs Tom Buchanan that he has known Daisy way before they even got married. This conversation not only caused Tom to suspect something about Gastby, but despise him as well. 
  • Is that so?....
  • I knew your wife before you, you know?
  • Gatsby is devastated that Daisy did not enjoy the party .Tom did not enjoy the party either, only because Gatsby and Daisy were openly flirting as if she was a single young woman again.
  • ...yes Tom.
  • LET"S GO DAISY!
  • After the party, Gatsby final decides that Daisy should tell Tom that she doesn't really love him and never did. Gatsby eventually rants to Nick about this however all Nick could tell Gatsby is that the part cannot be repeated, causing Gatsby to confidently deny this.
  • She has to tell Tom the truth...
  • You cannot repeat the past Gatsby.
