How about this. Then there is stuff included that helps both small and large states.
The Great Compromise
During the Constitutional Convention the delegate decided that there will be no power to tax. Their country already had barely any money already. Now that there was no power to tax, they had no way of getting money for their country.
The Three-Fifth Compromise
Roger Sherman came up with a idea that would hopefully make a compromise between large and small states. He came up with The Great Compromise. But no one cared for it until it was brought up again by some one else.
The Idea of the Great Compromise helped with the problem between the Virginia Plan and the Jersey Plan. Since one of the plans wanted 3 houses and the other plan wanted 1 house. Roger Sherman came up with the idea of having 2 house.
Bill of Rights
People deserve their rights.
The south thought that slaves should count as apart of the population even though they can't vote. If slaves were counted then the south had more representatives. The North didn't agree with this. So they made a compromise saying that if a country had 5,000 slaves only 3,000 of then would count. Hence the Three-Fifths Compromise.
The Bill of Rights wasn't apart of the Constitution at first. The Antifederalists wanted the Bill of Rights because they wanted to people to have basic rights that couldn't be taken away or changed, but the Federalists didn't think that it was needed because they thought government should have more power then the people. Eventually 10 amendments were added to the Bill of Rights.
