  • My financial plan would be to pay off all war debts, raise government revenues, and create a national bank.
  • No! No on the national bank.
  • The Whiskey Rebellion
  • A new tax on whiskey has been passed.
  • The French Revolution
  • We want liberty and equality!
  • Everything is under control
  • S'il Vous Plaît Monsieur Le Président 
  • Alexander Hamilton and Thomas Jefferson would "battle" at the cabinet battle. Alexander wanted a national bank but Jefferson would oppose to Hamilton's proposal. Ben opposed to a national bank and would oppose tariffs.
  • Washington's Farewell 
  • But Mr. President Sir-
  • No buts, do I say and "steer clear of permanent alliances with any portion of the foreign world."
  • Taxing the whiskey was a big deal for the backcountry farmers. Whiskey was an important part of the livelihood of the farmers. This outraged the people and would turn in to a tax protest.
  • XYZ Affair

  • The French Revolution was in 1789, everything was under control at first. However in 1792 the revolution had become very violent. Thousands of french citizens were massacred. 
  • Alien and Sedition Act
  • Dit is schandalig!

  • Whats wrong with immigrants? We have rights too!
  • Washington's farewell address stated to not have any permanent alliances with any foreign part of the world.  His farewell was/ had a warning on what to do and what not to do when he is no longer president. He feels he needs to be able to do his own thing, in other words sit under his own vine and fig tree.
  • Yes Mr.President
  • Will you do that for me?
  •  The XYZ Affair was an incident between diplomats, the French and the United States. This turned in to an uncleared war. Peace was later restored with the Convention of 1800.
  • The Alien and Sedition Act was a set/series of four laws passed. These laws were enacted in 1789 to reduce the political power of new immigrants in the U.S. Other acts could give the president power to arrest the disloyal of the immigrants.
