- At the being of the story, Odysseus and his men arrive at the land of theisland of the Cyclops.
- They stumble across a cave own by a cyclops named Polyphemus is gone . Odysseus and his men are desperate to take some of his valuable belongings.
- The Cyclops enters the cave, discovers them, and asks where they’re from.Odysseus answers and the cyclops starts attacking his crew.
- Odysseus devises a plan of escape. He makes a hot spike,gives the cyclops some wine, and says his name is “Nobody”.
- Now that the cyclops was blinded Odysseus and his men each hung onto the belly of the cattle.Early in the morning the cyclops left the cattle outof routine and the men made their escape.
- As Odysseus and his men ran out to the ship he could not help but to call back to the cyclops. The cyclops attempted to hurt rocks at ship and then he prayed to Poseidon to curse Odysseus voyage, find out later in the story if his prayers were answered.
