The Body
Storyboard Text
- The three boys start the story in their tree house on the outskirts of Castle Rock.Vern overheard his brother and his friends talk about a dead body in the forest. Vern then rushes over to the tree house to tell Teddy, Chris and Gordon.
- Chris, Gordon, Teddy and Vern all left to look for the body. It would take them 2 days and a night to get to the estimated location of the body but to cut time down they had to go through the car yard where Milo and Chopper lived. The boys made it through, got some water and were just about to leave when Milo saw them and sent his dog after them. The rumours were true in a sense, chopper was aggressive however he was a little dog that couldn't do much other nip at your ankle.
- The four boys had been walking for a while now, they were hot, bothered and starting to get cranky with each other. They got to a cross road and it was either go over the bridge with no emergency exit or go the long way around in the blistering heat. The boys decided to go through over the bridge. Two of the boys were very nervous about a train coming but the other two were already near the end. Gordon bent down the feel the tracks, they were rattling, He screams "TRAIN!" and runs.
- After the trains madness the four boys come across a pond. Vern and Chris take off their clothes and jump straight into the water to cool off. Gordon and Teddy are hesitant after some convincing Teddy and Gordy jumped in too. They were splashing around having a ball when Gordy noticed something on Vern's face, It was LEECH! They all run out pulling the leeches off and screaming frantically.
- The boys found a nice spot to set up camp. They collected the wood, started the fire and had a small snack, then headed to bed. While they were sleeping they were all woken up by a loud scream and decided amongst themselves that one would be keeping watch while the rest sleep and swap over over hour or so.
- They boys set off in the morning to find Ray Bowler, after hiking in the heat for half of the day they come across the body. It was raining by this point, but the boys were relived to have some cool change. The boys hear a car coming and to their surprise it was Chris's brother and his friends. they get out of the car and yell at the four boys asking them what they were doing there. They then fight about who would take him back with them. Chris and Gordon stand their ground.
