- Jack was on the hunt of the Pig, he tried, but doesn´t catch the pig.
- The only ones that help making the cabins were Simon and Ralph.Jack arrives, irritated at having failed to catch the pig, and sees them building. Frustrated, they (Ralph and Simon) see that no huts was up or fallen down before they are finished. The other boys just play on the lagoon, Ralph complain about it.
- Ralp tells Jack that he is worried about the younger children, who are not sleeping and have nightmares. Jack doesn't care about that, he only thinks about hunting the pig, since no hunter could do it, with this Ralph is upset about the fact that Jack and the rest of the boys are not working in the huts, he insinuates that Jack and the hunters are using their hunting chores as an excuse to avoid the work needed.
- Before Simon gets to his secret hut, he helps the younger children grab the fruit and makes sure no one has followed him.
- Simon goes to his secret cabin, which no one knew about in the depths of the forest.
