These are the vital events which I believe led Russia to become the Soviet Union. Due to the lack of listening to the citizens on part of the monarch's caused a total need for revolution.

this is Alexander the first who started the idea of liberalism and a constitution for Russia. He however died before accomplishing this and since he left no heir, his little brother ascended. This started the beginning of Russian citizen's changing ideals
This is Nicholas the first, Alexander's little brother who believed in absolute monarchism. He shot down(literally) rebels that opposed his reign and took away basic civil rights and had secret police do his bidding. Caused civil unrest when he lost Crimmean war.
This is Alexander II, he was the successor to the throne after Nicholas. He was the catalyst to a lot of the reform because he had more liberal ideals like the first Alexander.He was the first monarch thinking of sharing power However, his ideals started causing the Russian economy to collapse and radical terrorist group caused his death.
Alexander III, went against all the changes his late father made and totally disagreed with his ideas of sharing power. He reversed all the liberal work his father had done and raised another revolution which he quickly stopped.
Nicholas II, was the end of the romanov dynasty. He was an inadequate ruler and plunged Russia into a depression which ultimately caused him to lose support. His ignorance and indifference towards the suffering people made them angry and they revolted ultimately causing the fall of this monarchy.
the inadequacy of Nicholas II's rule and his constant losses caused an uprising and this gave way to the marxist Bolsheviks to take over Russia and turn Russia "red".
