  • The telephone was one of the most famous inventions during the industrial revolution. The first ever telephone was made by Alexander Graham Bell. It allowed two or more people to talk to each other from long distances. Before the telephone was invented you had to write letters to talk from long distances.
  • The Spinning Jenny was used for cotton spinning. It had eight spindles where the thread was spun. With turning a single wheel you could spin eight threads at once. The Spinning Jenny made cotton spinning much quicker than before.
  • The typewriter was used for writing newspapers and for recording information. It allowed people to transmit information quickly and accurately. Before the typewriter was invented most business documents, letters, and other documents were written by hand.
