Andreas Vesalius was born in Brussels,Belgium on the 31 December 1514. He also wrote books
Vesalius studied medicine in Paris but he was later forced to leave before completing his degree when the Roman Empire declared war on France. He then studied at the University of Louvain but then moved to Padua to study for his doctorate.
He came from a family of physicians and both his father and grandfather had served the holy Roman emperor.
how bodies were made up and structured. This is called Improved understanding of anatomy. This was an important impact because you would have know how to treat the body if you knew how the body was made up.
Andreas found that the lower jaw was composed of only one bone, not two (which Galen had assumed based on animal dissection)
