  • Because of a lack of compensation to veterans of war, and the constant taxation of the state, farmers in Massachusetts rebelled. The national government was unable to stop the conflict, evidencing that it needed more control.

  • A lot of things had to be considered, so a lot of discussions between educated men were common. Finally, a document was written by one James Madison in 1787.
  • The US Constitution is the basis for one of the best systems of government that exist to this day. Although some amendments have been made to it, it remains the "world's longest surviving written charter of government"
  • That is not the end of the story. Even today, changes have been done in how systems work and how the constitution is interpreted.
