- It all starts off with a 17 year old girl named Hazel Grace Lancaster and she lives with terminal cancer. She knows that her lifespan is limited and that she needs an oxygen tank because of the cancer in her lungs.
- Climax
- The conflict is that Hazel Grace met a friend named Augustus who is a cancer survivor. She likes him but she doesn't want to be romantically attached to him because she is scared that his heart is going to break when she dies.
- Falling Action
- Augustus and Hazel grew closer together by hanging out all the time and by reading the book An Imperial Afflication by Peter Van Houten.
- Resolution
- Hazel and Augustus head to Amsterdam to meet Peter Van Houten and they were very disapointed in what happened. Lastly, Hazel agrees to start a romantic relationship but just to find out that Augustus cancer has returned and it is not treatable.
- Augustus and Hazel grow together as Augustus health slowly gets worse. Hazel helps him with his mental and physical health.
- Sadly Augustus dies but, Hazel finds that Augustus left her a eulogy and she is happy with how comforting it leaves her.
