- Hi I'm Mrs. Hampton! American Isolationism is when isolationists decided not to get involved in European and Asian political and military conflicts. Basically, we said "we don't want to be apart of this war" to European and Asian countries and didn't help them. But as we all know it didn't work out exactly.
