Storyboard Text
- Scene 1: Rosaura has been invited to her “friend” Luciana’s birthday party.
- "“Mom I’d like to go to my friend Luciana’s party. She invited me. She said there will be a surprise monkey!
- Her mother says she can’t go because she works for her family and believes all they see Rosaura as is “the maids daughter”
- “No, I don't like you going. I know them, they’re a rich family and I’m their maid. All they see you is as the maids daughter. And do you really believe that there will be a monkey there? Quit believing nonsense/
- Scene 2: Rosaura’s mother gives in and the next day, she starches Rosaura’s dress and rinses her hair with Apple Cider Vinegar so it’ll be nice for the party. Before leaving, Rosaura looks in the mirror and thinks she looks “terribly pretty.”
- Scene 3: At the party, Senora Ines lets Rosaura sneak into the kitchen and sees the monkey inside its cage
- Scene 4: As Rosaura walks out, a girl asks her who she is. Rosaura tells her that shes a friend of the families but the girl cuts her off, saying shes not because she knows all of Lucianas friends
- Who are you? I know all of Luciana's friends and you're not one of them
- "I'm a friend of Luianas."
- Once Senora Ines leaves, and she made sure no one was looking, she kicked Rosaura in the shins
- "Rosaura, do you mind serving the hot-dogs since you know the house better than the others?
- "See! I told you you weren't a friend."
