In this scene Elie is about to get whipped by Idek because Elie was walking around the ware house and saw Idek and a girl. This is an example is Man vs Man because Elie is being hurt by another man and he is not doing it willingly
Man vs Nature
In this scene, Elie s father is hit in the face to get Elie's attention.. This is Man vs Self because Elie is feeling many different things. He wants to attach the man but he can't. He is mentally changed which is a problem between him and himself
Man vs Society
In this scene, Elie no longer believes in God. This is Man vs God because Elie is not very happy with God because he thinks God is doing this to hurt them. He does not want to pray anymore.
"On the road, it snowed and snowed, it snowed endlessly. We were marching more slowly." "The cold was conscientiously doing its work. At every step, somebody fell down and ceased to suffer." (Wiesel 92). In this scene Elie and everyone else is suffering from the cold. This is Man vs Nature because they are dieing from the extreme cold weather/snow.
"First edict: Jews were prohibited from leaving their residences for three days, under penalty of death." (Wiesel 10). In this scene, they are forced from leaving their residences or they will die. This is Man vs Society because they are being forced to do something they do not agree with.
