- King Henry VII decided to separate the England Church from the Pope authority in 1534 Some decided to protest against the Catholic Church. They were called protestants. In 1609 the Pilgrims decided to move to Leiden (Netherlands) because they were persecuted by Queen Mary.
- I proclaim myself the head of the England Church.
- We need to purify the Church.
- We can have a better life in Netherlands.
- In 1620 the Pilgrims decided to move to the New World (They calldedit New England) On November 9th, 1620 they arrived at Cape Cod (now Massachussets) On December 21st, 1620 they funded the Plymouth city.
- We need to leave England because were are being treated very badly here.
- We are leaving on the Mayflower ship.
- We have finally arrived, we had a trip with strong winds.
- We called this city New Plymouth.
