  • THERE'S A TICK ON ME!! WHAT DO I DO?
  • First of all, do not panic!Simply find a clean, fine-tipped pair of tweezers and grasp the tick as close to the skin as possible.
  • If detachment so occurs, remove the mouth with the tweezers. If the mouth cannot easily be removed, leave it so the skin may heal naturally.
  • Steadily pull upward without twisting or jerking the tick.Pulling too hard may detach the body from the head and leave the mouth attached to the skin.
  • Once removed, clean the bite area and your hands with rubbing alcohol or soap and water.
  • Lastly, dispose of the tick by putting it in alcohol, placing it in a sealed bag/container, wrapping it in tape, or flushing it down the toilet. Never crush the tick with your fingers!
  • dead tick
  • If you happen to develop a rash or fever within weeks of the bite/tick removal, see your doctor immediately
