- At this time I do not have sufficient evidence to refer your child for gifted testing. Have you looked at the parent referral? Per GADOE, “a student may be referred for consideration for gifted education services by teachers, counselors, administrators, parents or guardians, peers, self, and other individuals with knowledge of the student."

- Many factors are considered by the Gifted Eligibility Team: Standardized tests: A score at or above the 90th percentile on a nationally normed test Performance assessments that indicates the child's performance is exceptional or distinguished compared to their peers Ratings and observations of the child's learning and motivation Portfolios and performances
- Other criteria that may be used to identify gifted children include: Academic achievement, Interests, Creativity, Motivation, and Learning characteristics and behaviors.Once your child has been referred the GET Team will determine if your child will be formally evaluated, if they need more information or if they will not be formally evaluated. You will be notified of their decision. (The GET)
