fore and motion

fore and motion

Storyboard Text

  • I always wanted to know, what is force, inertia, motion, and all that stuff?
  • great question! force is a push or pull that creates motion, which is the act of something moving from one place to another
  • There's also friction. which is when one moving object rubs against a not moving object, slowing down the moving object, like brakes on a car.
  • On a plane, there are many properties of force that make it fly, like lift, drag, and velocity.
  • lift is what makes the plan go up. lift is caused by the air particles moving quickly but the particles hit the wing and when the pilot moves up the bottom of the wing moves down so the air particles hit and push the wing (and plane) up. With enough lift, a plan will go into that air itself sometimes
  • drag is what slows down a plane
  • velocity is how far something moves in a certain direction
  • Wow! now i know all those cool facts!
