- The story starts off with Reinsford boarding a boat to go hunting with his friend, Whitney, It's just like every other hunting trip until Rainsford falls off the boat, and ends up stranded of a "deserted" island.

- Curious (and most certainly tired and hungry) Reinsford explores the island, only to find a giant mansion-like thing. Rainsford tired and hungry and starting to get despite knocks on the door of this big mansion, and is greeted by a large man and invited inside
- falling action
- Raensford is invited inside as some named General Zaroff rushes downstairs. Rainsford is then taken care of from there by general Zaroff and even invited to a lovely little dinner with General Zaroff as they have a little talk. Now while this talk, both of them find out they share something in common and that's hunting. However is revealed that General Zaroff got bored of hunting, and wished to hunt something more... challenging. Rainsford finds out that General Zaroff hunts humans, and even worse is planning to hunt him to
- resolution
- Reinsford starts off running into the bush while General Zaroff tries to hunt him down, sending hounds and his henchman Ivan after him. Reinsford manages to kill Ivan and one hound with various tricks but in the end, he realizes that he is no march for General Zaroff. However, after a while at the end of one day, General Zaroff retreats to his mansion for a good night's sleep after a long day of hunting. The Mansion was supposed to be not excisable to get to, but Reinsford finds a way but swimming to it, by jumping off a cliff
- Reinsford manages to get up to General Zaroff, as they fight each other basically to the death. Rainsford of course wins , and has a good nights rest in the mansion (as if it to be a reward)
- though it isn't confirmed its highly implied that Reinsford lives on to tell this dangerous tale!
