- The battle of Salamis was a battle fought a narrow passage called a strait. However, there was also water on the side. The Persians used this to their advantage and attacked from the water on ships. However, Themistocles knew this and when the ships came, they punched holes in the ships making them sink. King Xerxes knew he had lost and took his only option: flee.

- The Peloponnesian War was a war between Sparta and Athens. Sparta started the war because they were feeling threatened by Athens's Delian League. During the war, the plague had also just started. During this time, Themistocles also died. Along with this, Sparta burned crops and caused food shortages. Eventually, Athens had to surrender. This later caused Athens to lose it democracy

- Alexander the great was a Macadonian military general and king of Macedonia. To many, he was a god. He never lost any battles thus his name, Alexander the Great. However, he died from malaria at the age of 32. He gave the empire to his strongest soldier. However, the empire later fell as no one could control such a large empire.
