  • There must be someone I could ask for help at times like these. I can’t really look for any newspapers or any of the sort since everything has become virtual now.
  • Maybe, Bert could lend me a hand here. He should know his whereabouts since he’s a close friend of Nick. By the time I get to his house, his shift should’ve ended by then.
  • What are you doing scaring me like that?! I thought I would never see you again!
  • That was the only way that I knew to avoid getting us caught by them.
  • Them? Who’s “them”?
  • The government, Delia. I’ve told you this many times before, but the way they’re running things on the outside seems normal but you don’t know what methods and final resorts that they’re willing to do. They’ve tortured me, Delia. For months.
  • When I got captured, I was put into this room where I had no idea where it was located. From the looks of it, it was deep underground somewhere, probably a facility under the Malacañang Palace. The politician that handled the torture there was Mr. Garduque. It’s a long story, but I got to convince him to let me go. It looked like he had a heavy conscience on him, considering that he’s been doing it for the past 10 years. I also got to hear from him that they had something to do with Reggie, as well.
  • Mr. Garduque helped me escape the facility by taking me outside, saying it was for personal reasons and the guards seemed to let him pass. I got in his car and asked me if I had anybody I could confide in. I told him that I could trust Bert for that, so ever since then, I was hiding in Bert’s place. But the following day, I saw the news and Mr. Garduque committed suicide. I don’t know if it was a sacrifice, or it was his heavy burdens that made him do it, but he was easily replaced by another politician.
  • Why did you go here then? In front of our house?
  • I’ve been going here everyday for the past year. I guess that I hoped that, someday, you'll be back here again, and here you are.
