  • How can we apply UDL into our classrooms?
  • First, when it comes to creating a lesson plan. It's essential to create a discussion that is relatable to the students. The curriculum should also be diverse throughout the whole year. Diverse in cultural, historical, and social contexts. Educators must provide opportunities for collaboration and challenges that will build the student's critical thinking skills.
  • OER provides educators and students access to free materials that will help with learning and discussions within their classrooms.
  • Benefits:Visual aid for further understanding.These materials can be accessed whenever.Students become more engaged when involving these resources into their discussion within the classroom.
  • Educators can provide these open educational resources to their students. It can be articles, poems, short documentaries and films, audios. Students can actively participate with these resources during class time.
  • These two concepts can work hand in hand. The resources that are chosen have to also be relatable to the students. That's how they can stay engaged with the lesson and can also make it easier for them to understand the concept being taught to them. Applying these many perspectives of the students in their learning environment will be strength of them. It can also challenge them to think about how they can create changes into their life outside of school.
