- So you may be wondering what was the Trojan War and why was it so important?
- Well it all started when the Trojan Prince took the wife of Menelaus of Sparta
- Menelaus persuaded his brother (Agamemnon)to lead an army against Troy
- Agamemnon had Greek hero’s (Ajax,Achilles, Odysseus and Nester) with him, more than a thousand ships followed them from all over Hellenic World
- So you might of heard of Achilles before and wondering why was he involved ???
- WhenHelen (wife of the Greek King Menelaus) wastaken by the Trojan Prince Paris, the Greeks went to war to get her back.Achilles joined the war and brought along a group of soldiers called theMyrmidonDuring the Trojan War, Achilles was unstoppable. He killed many of Troy's greatest warriors. However, the battle raged on for years. Many of the Greek gods were involved, some helping the Greeks and others helping the Trojans
