Harold Shipman

- Childhood Years Harold, also known as Fred, was the favorite in the Shipman family. His mother, Vera, made sure this was known.
- Fred is my favorite.
- His Mother's Sickness His mother was diagnosed with Lung Cancer and would eventually die when Harold was 17. Harold would see his mother be injected with morphine many times during the final months.
- There is nothing more we can do at this point. All we can do is try and keep her comfortable.
- Committing to Medical School Harold would remember his mother being injected with morphine when remembering his trauma. He was fascinated by it. He devoted himself to become a doctor after his mothers death.
- I miss you mom.
- College Life Harold didn't have many friends in life because of his mother teaching him a sense of superiority of others. He became very lonely and had no strong relationships through the rest of his schooling and career.
- There is nothing else I can do except keep him comfortable. I am going to inject him with morphine.
- Crimes Shipman killed over 200 patients from large does of pain medication. He worked at Donneybrook Medical Centre for 2 decades before anyone noticed how many of his patients had died.
- They will never know.
- Being Caught Authorities finally searched medical files to fin that he had been editing his patients cause of deaths and telling the families to cremate the bodies. Authorities also found that he was addicted to drugs as well.
