Storyboard Text

  • Karim, Eva and Haroom left Beckenham and moved into a flat located in West Kensington. They finally live in London. During a party Eva organized, Karim met Jeremy Shadwell, a theater director. Later, Shadwell offered Karim a role as Mowgli in his adaptation of "The Jungle Book". Karim accepts.
  • After the opening of "The Jungle Book", Shadwell invites Karim to take part in his next production. But at the same time, Karim is courted by the internationally famous Matthew Pyke who asks him to join his company. Karim declines Shadwell's offer and accepts Pyke's.
  • Karim and Eleanor, his current girlfriend that he met at his new job, have been invited for supper at Pyke's house. There, they meet Marlene, Pyke's wife. After drinking a lot of champagne and smoking marijuana, Karim and Marlene engage in a sexual intercourse. Marlene tells him about Gene, Eleanor previous boyfriend who killed himself because of racism. Soon after, Eleanor, Pyke, Karim and Marlene start to have sex all together.
  • Instead of going to an antifascist rally which Jamila invited him to, Karim sets up surveillance at Pyke's house and catches Eleanor meeting with the director there. They had become lovers. Karim's first love affair is over.
  • After the opening of Pyke's play in New York, the cast attend a party. There, Karim is humiliated by Pyke, who revealed that he planned everything that happened between Eleanor and Karim.Then, Charlie arrived at the party and found Karim passed out drunk. He take him home, and convince him to stay six months in New York
  • Even if Charlie begged him not to, Karim retours to London. Things have changed, his friends and family aren't the same as he left them. Nothing is perfect, but Karim is happy with his present and optimistic about the future.
