- The story starts off with a narration of camp green lake for chapter 1. He describes the hammock that is held up by two tree's and the tents and scorpions, snakes, and lizards. He says not to touch the animals because some of them are dangerous and to not touch the yellow spotted lizard because you will die of its poison. In the book he specifically says that the hammock belongs to the warden and no one is allowed to sit in it.

- My name is Mr. Sir. Here take this soda for you and the driver for your ride back. Here take your uniform
- In chapter 2 our main character Stanley Yelnats is in court and the judge gives him two choices either go to jail or go to camp green lake. He chooses the camp even though he knows he is innocent.

- In chapter 3 Stanley is on the bus to the camp. He talks about things like how he has no friends because of his weight everyone including his teachers comment on it. He talks about an old family quote and reminisces a moment we his dad would sing him his favorite song. The main topic of conversation is mainly about his family and their curse and about his mom and dad and things they have said. He also has a bag that has stationary things from his mom because he promised he would write every week and his tooth brush and toothpatse.

- This is in chapter 4 when the guard and Stanley just got off their eight hour bus ride and the guard was talking to Mr. Sir. Mr. Sir introduced himself gave the guard two sodas and gave Stanley his uniforms and the guard left. Mr. Sir took Stanley outside after that to tell him if he see's anything and asks him if he wants to run. Stanley says he doesn't wanna run.
- This scene is in chapter 5 when Stanley finally gets introduced to the counselor Mr. Pendaski and the other student who will live in tent D with him. Mr. Pendanski shows Stanley his bed and crate and he learns the others nicknames and he asks armpit where he can find water but armpit treats him in a quite unfriendly way because he accidently called him by his real name. After that the boys head to get changed and Stanley is left in the tent.
- My inference for chapter 6 is that they will get up the next day at 4 have their breakfast and then they will go to the field and start digging as instructed. Stanley will be thirsty.
