We are a republic. We have a Senate. The senate is a group of 300 men elected to govern Rome in the Roman Republic. The senate is only voted for by the patricians until the plebeians rebel.
I am a Patrician. I have all the say in the government until the Plebeians revolt. We are only the rich men and descend from the founders of the city.
I am a Plebeian. I had no say in the government until the rebellion. The majority of the Roman population is a plebeian like me.
I am a consul. I am one of the two chief leaders in the Roman Republic.
We finally have rights there is now a tribune. A tribune is an official of the Roman Republic elected by the plebeians to protect their rights. Tribunes have the right to veto which is rejecting or overruling actions from the Senate that the thought were unfair.
