- If you buy an indulgence from I, a priest sent from god, you are guaranteed a spot in the heavens!
- The selling of these "indulgences" should NOT be happening!!

- First cause of the reformation include the selling of indulgences to the common folk by priests.
- All I wanted was some religious guidance but this book is now telling me how to live my own life!?!?
- Scholars such as John Calvin and Martin Luther were very critical when it came to indulgences and if questioned if they were moral or even accepted by god at all.
- lets start our own branch of Christianity! Lets make it better and closer to god than whatever those priests are doing!

- Leaders such as King Henry VIII were annoyed by the church meddling with their business and desired to cut ties with the church.

- Some people only wanted to use the bible for religious guidance, but instead were met with much more undesired content telling them how they should do current traditions or teachings.
- The first effect of the reformation was the creation of Lutheranism as a branch of Christianity.
- The selling of indulgences from church officials also stopped as a result of the reformation.
