One day, Sam came home from college. They had dinner and Sam told his family that he had joined the Patriot army. His dad and he got into a huge argument about it.
Verplanks Point Trip Back
Later that night, Sam and Father got into anpther argument, and it resulted in Sam running away.
Fighting in Redding
Father then in the fall took Tim on a trip to Verplanks Point. On the trip there, they got stopped by cattle thieves called cowboys, they stopped them but then were saved.
We mean no harm.
Father was taking trips on his horse two miles ahead and back to check it is safe. One time Tim took a while to get back and he realized that he must be in trouble.
Where has father gone?
One time the British stormed into Redding, then a rebel messenger came and he got shot. Tim was sent to get Captain Starr to help the messenger. He went and the British were firing into Starr's.
