- I am taking a history test tomorrow that has 10 questions, each is worth 10 points and I want to get at least 90 points.
- Enya already has an extra 10 points from extra credit.
- Hmmm...
- How many problems does Enya need to get right to meet her goal?
- Let's make an equation!
- And plus 10 because of my extra credit, is greater than or equal to 90!
- x will represent how many problems I need to get right.
- Ok, so x times 10 because it's 10 points per problem.
- Now all we need to do it solve!
- So, our equation is: 10x+10>=90 !
- I need to get 8 or more questions right to meet my goal!
- Let's use the circle method and do the problem in reverse:90-10=8080/10= 8x>=8
