Storyboard Text

  • Igneous rocks are created when magma/lava is cooled.
  • Rocks erodes or breaks down and turn into something called sediments which can then be layered and turned into rocks called sedimentary rocks.
  • When rocks are buried under the surface and heated and compressed, it becomes a metamorphic rock.
  • Sediments under the ocean gets buried under the ocean bed with out materials such as clay, sand and other things. They get compressed over time to get rid of water which than turns into a sedimentary rock.
  • When rocks are melted until they turn into a liquid, they have now turned to magma which then can be cooled and turned into igneous rocks again.
