- Morning came and the devil and cantuña met at the base of the recently built atrium. The devil asked cantuña when the first bells of six rang, cantuña he laughed and asked the devil if he would like to take a closer look at the newly built walls.

- Under and behold,a single stone was missing and when the bell rang for the sixth time the contract was broken.cantuña left with his soul intact and a job well done.
- REFLECTION: The message that the legend of Ecuadorian origin *Cantuña* leaves us is that the indigenous people have always had great ingenuity to solve adversities and this ingenuity has allwed them to keep their cultures alive. In addition,it teaches us that even if we are desperate,we should not stray from the path of God and not join the path of evil. It also reflects the importance of delivering on what is promised. The story tells the story of how cantuña tricked the devil into helping him finish a church for God and at the same time he was able to save his soul.
