  • SOMEBODY SAVE US!
  • AHHH
  • JACOB! HELP ME
  • AHHH
  • Why Jacob?
  • GUYS RUUUUUUN!
  • The Buildings are after us!
  • HELP
  • JESSICA!
  • This image you are seeing. This is the day... The day my parents and brother were killed. The day New York City became a town of destruction. The day the buildings came alive.
  • Jacob. I'm scared
  • I know. We just have to keep going.
  • I had been skipping school that day. My Mom and Dad had to leave early for a meeting and I planned on getting out of the city. We did, my sister who forced me into bringing her, and my friends Blake and Sarah. But the Buildings ruined it, and killed my parents. And then... I just ran like a coward.
  • WATER!!
  • SO TIRED!
  • We ran as fast as we could but we still were able to see people all around us getting killed and eaten. We were lucky that no of us were in that group, and we didn't stop until we got out of the city.
  • AHH
  • Tell us who you are or we will shoot you
  • We proceeded south through Massachusetts. We only went out at night in fear of being seen. We were dirty, tired, hungry, thirsty and at least 3 times my sister said "Jacob, I'm scared." I was expected, as the oldest to lead everyone, to be brave, to be strong, but what I didn't tell them was I was scared myself.
  • Finally after walking for about a week, we reached a rolling plain. We had been able to bring nothing, our clothes were dirty and ripped, and were forced to scavenge around, and only eat and drink what we could find. We were so thirsty that Blake imagined a stream and sprinted to the other side before I could tell him otherwise.
  • Before I could say anything about 50 people surrounded us carrying guns and other weapons. About 10 of them were kids. This was just a small portion of the total camp. They approached us and put us into a prison-cell like thing. They demanded our names, where we were from, and our story. They threatened to shoot us so Cynthia started talking
