Romeo and Juliet Act 1
Storyboard Text
- Servants of the Capulet house mock servants of the Montague household. A battle breaks out between the two houses, displaying the hatred from both of the families. The prince breaks up the fight, threating both families to get along in order for peace for the town of Verona.
- Act 1, Scene 1
- Romeo continuously walks throughout Verona after Rosiline rejects his love. He shows how impactful his emotions can be, especially when they're caused by love.
- Act 1, Scene 1
- Paris and Capulet discuss taking Juliet's hand in marriage, however Capulet is reluctant due to Juliet's age but reassures him he is worthy of his daughter. Romeo and Benvolio decide to crash the Capulet's feast to meat eligible women for Romeo to heal his scars.
- Act 1, Scene 2
- Juliet and Lady Capulet discuss her marriage and how Paris wanted her hand in Marriage. The nurse comes in, telling stories about her childhood, giving more background to the Nurse's character.
- Act 1, Scene 3
- Romeo, Benvolio and Mercutio gather with their masks, prepared to sneak into the Capulet's feast. They are all extremely nervous about how to get into the feast and what they will be doing during the feast. Mercutio tells Romeo about Queen Mab of the fairies, who visits peoples dreams to tell them they will be married soon.
- Act 1, Scene 4
- Romeo sneaks into the feast and sees Juliet and immediately forgets about his love for Rosaline. He begs for her to relieve him of his sins by kissing him. Romeo is found out to be a Montague and flees in fear, Juliet later finds out he is a Montague, she becomes set in marrying Romeo
