- Right now we are learning about the Sacraments!
- Let me explain!
- What are those?
- Hey Catherine, what are you learning about in theology class?
- In the beginning, God created Adam and Eve. He had very specific instructions for them, and that was to not eat the fruit of the garden.
- Adam and Eve decided to eat the fruit anyways because they were tempted by Satan
- Yeah let's just eat it. It looks good.
- Eat it! Eat it! Eat it!
- This seperated the relationship between God and hummanity.
- Many years later God sent his one and only Son to die on the cross for our sins.
- Jesus rose again from the dead, saving us from our sins. This repaired the relationship between God and hummanity.
- So what is a sacrament?
- We are just getting there!
- What is a sacrament?
- 1. A visibale, effective indication.
- Not only that though, there are three parts to the defenition:
- 2. Established by Christ, and given to the Church
- A sacrament is a reliable indication of grace.
- 3. To offer grace or eternal life
- Oh okay! Wait, so why do people need sacraments?

- Sacraments connect believers to Christ.
- We are part of the Christian family through sacraments.
